To those who saw it
Westworld became a convoluted mess after the first season and the writing got stuck up its own ass in a shitty attempt to be clever. Is the quality anything like Westworld seasons 2+3?

sharedon't watch it. I did and regret it. it smelt of pointless westworld drivel and now know to avoid her crap.
i think "attempt to be clever" is a good way to describe some of it. the flooding felt like pointless scenery, not plot pushing, the memory sci-fi tool was background, the story very basic. just, yuck.
Thanks for confirming my suspicions.
shareIt’s not the worst film of all time, but it suffers from a lot of lame action movie cliches. Dramatic speeches with lines like “you don’t understand!”, and scenes where right before someone gets shot, the friend busts in with perfect timing and saves the day. The world’s universe didnt make much sense either, and it ends on anti-climactic note. Some cool ideas tho. 4/10
shareI always go with: can you remove the cool world elements and not affect anything in the plot?
I saw no plot driving point of the world wide flood. its affect on society seemed no different than NOT having it, or something completely different that also didn't affect the plot. the flooding just seemed look "ooh cool CGI" and nothing more. the piano falling drowning part could have easily been a back yard pool.
fail film.
It was not thought provoking in any way ... Kind of a low stakes story.
