he·ro ˈhirō/ noun 1. a person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. "a war hero" synonyms: brave person, brave man/woman, man/woman of courage, man/woman of the hour,
This movie personifies what a hero is and Sully is one of them.

Well a female one is called 'heroine', so I find 'typically a man' a bit superfluous/silly :P
But I agree, though. I've been in the flight 'community' for like 30 years, and what Sully did is considered one of the greatest achievements in civil aviation history.
(I haven't seen the movie yet, though, but read a lot about the incident before, so I don't know how the movie reflect the actual events yet)
What we do in life echoes in eternity Russell Crowe as General Maximus in Gladiator (2000)

With quick thinking, this guy was able to avoid a total cataclysmic disaster. If it were any other person, just following protocol, who knows what the results might have been. If anything this movie is more proof that this guy was very much a hero.
Trying to create a funny, engaging YouTube channel. If you guys check it out, hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance.
Sure, he's a hero, but he's a really damned boring one. Certainly not worth making a movie about. I watched the news when it happened. You can find clips of them on Youtube. That would be better than watching Clint Eastwood try to drag out this boring hero's not-so-very interesting achievement and the even less interesting aftermath.
Wow, were we watching the same movie?? I thought it was great. Eastwood took us through the whole story and while we knew the outcome, it was nevertheless stirring and compelling. He was indeed a hero, bigtime! Another bravo for Hanks.
