Sam: "You have to."

Not sure why he can't, and I'm not sure why she thinks he has to. This is either a weak sci-fi movie with some romance, or a weak romance with sci-fi thrown in. Movie was boring from beginning to end and a waste of time. Not sure how this stuff gets made.

My interpretation was that he was reluctant because of his feelings about his recently *edit* diseased/deceased wife
And unless I heard incorrectly I believe she said "We have to" which I interpreted as her somewhat bluntly expressing her intentions for procreating with him which seems to fit her hopeful desire to see life rejuvenated on earth.
