That's actually the new Hollywood standard: empowered technical/military white chick + wise courageous charming non-white male save the day against evil violent fascist white male.

Haven't seen the movie, but 99% the bad guy is a white male.

Hey at least in both films they ultimately don't end up together so you have that to take comfort in.
