I hope they bring back the same composer.

Same! I listen to the score for It Follows all the time.

Quite risky to do a sequel to a movie like It Follows, because honestly what new direction do you take it? At least very much all the original team is involved in it.

I ask the same thing. They will give us more info on the demon I’m sure but that’s risky as it could come off as silly. What made the first creepy(demon relentlessly following the lead) probably won’t work as well in a sequel . Surely they have something else in store

Scream and Zombieland both went for the ten-year gaps, so why not It Follows.

I liked the first one. Not sure what they could add to it, but we'll see.

Since It Follows was one of my favorite post 2010 horrors, I've been keeping my fingers crossed Mitchell would do another horror film. While a sequel wasn't my top pick idea, I'll keep my hopes up that he and team create a movie even close in quality and scariness.

And agreeing with the crowd that Disasterpeace's score was a major component of the original film, and hope they bring him back for the sequel.

WHAT??

This is massive news. One of those things that was talked about as a possibility but never seemed like it would ever happen. It Follows is one of the best horror movies ever so I'll absolutely be checking this out. I'd be amazed if they could match the first one but even if this is half as good as the original it'll be a solid little horror flick.

Will be nice to get a new OST in a similar vein to the first movie's.

Now my joint most anticipated horror release alongside Smile 2.

Saw this in the theater twice because I just had to soak it all in a second time. Hopefully the sequel comes close to the atmosphere the first one created

How do we think this will go? Set straight after, or ten years gone? Jay looking back into the origins?

reply

Wow, this is interesting. This is the first I've heard of it. I think It Follows is one of the best horror movies of the 21st century. But I never would have expected or even wanted a sequel for this. I'll surely give it a shot, though.
