I thought this was just an okay pilot episode. The actors are fine, but this episode wasn't funny. I didn't laugh once. I think this was a weaker first episode than Big Bang Theory or Young Sheldon, but there is potential that it will get better.
sharemediocre. was surprisingly stiff and overly traditional. Will Sasso was good but he's been in a bunch of sitcoms, he knows how to do it. nothing was bad about. it was quaint to the point of being corny. kind of surprised they went this direction with it. if anything was weak, George is not a strong anchor for the show. the crutch of another weirdo awkward character like Sheldon was not welcome. i get why they did it but... enough of that. a few of the jokes connected with me, mostly with Mandy sparring with her mum. there's been far worse pilots than this but the problem is this material is stale, beat to to death, and has already been done to the point of brilliance. it's a steep hill to climb.

shareI completely forgot to record this, so will just have to catch up this week. I always liked Georgie and I hope this does well and wish Annie Potts would make appearances throughout the show - she was definitely one of the best parts of Sheldon.

1. the first time the train went past
2. when George said "I'm surprised she put my name first."
