Lizzy Caplan was much better than Isla fisher

Caplan was much more entertaining, I enjoyed her character much more. Henley was never the most exciting character so wasn't too upset too see her gone, plus it took out that annoying somewhat romantic tension between her and Atlas that just made everything awkward. But does anyone agree that Lizzy was much better?

reply

Don't agree, I wanted more Isla. Lizzie is very good as a replacement but better?
No.

What have you heard Shane?

reply

Too bad according to the Trivia section she was only replaced due to her pregnancy and will be back for NYSM 3.

So they replace her with some goofy she wanted out thing and now will have to find a reason Lulu leaves and put Henley back in! Nonsense. Keep Lulu!

Caplan deserves a franchise to make her more dough.

reply

But she was ugly as sin. Isla was at least much easier on the yes. I found "Lula" highly annoying, one of those, "look at me, i'm a chic geek girl therefore I'm hot" beyotches.

reply

I agree - I liked Lula better than Henley, though I'm a bit discouraged by the ever-increasing male-to-female ratio. They dropped from 2 major female characters to 1, but found room to squeeze in Daniel Radcliffe, in addition to keeping all the male characters from the first movie.

Really, it would be OK to not have a 4:1 male-to-female ratio.

I hope, if there's a 3rd movie, that Isla Fisher returns and Lizzy Caplan is retained.

reply

I might be in the minority here but I think Lizzy Caplan nearly ruined the movie for me. Can't put a finger on it...she just seemed very out of place among the Horsemen (and not because of being the lone female). She was overly shrill and just got on my nerves.

She's a fine actress but her mannerisms and personality here just detracted from the film, IMHO.

"This is dead air, Barry....dead air."

reply

Lizzy did ruin it with her over the top *beep* acting. Cannot stand the woman.

reply

I much prefered Isla Fisher

reply

I found the new actress rather annoying - like she was over acting or trying too hard. The old one was just right.

reply

As much as.I like Lizzy, I got to agree with you on this. It's annoying that she had to act like that considering that most of her acting in other movies are good/great. But her acting made the movie looks so fake!

Where did he even come from?? Woody's character didn't even explain or state about his twin in the first movie.

reply

the absence of Isla Fisher made me confuse how did they trust caplan so fast
i didn't like caplan character at all

reply

Ummm.... I don't.. Caplan was good, but Fisher was better.. I don't know if it was the acting or the movie..
.
When I saw Caplan, I saw Janice Ian , it must be just me, because I've never seen Caplan in another movie other than this and Mean Girls 
