Caplan was much more entertaining, I enjoyed her character much more. Henley was never the most exciting character so wasn't too upset too see her gone, plus it took out that annoying somewhat romantic tension between her and Atlas that just made everything awkward. But does anyone agree that Lizzy was much better?
shareI absolutely agree. In the trailer, I felt that I missed Henley so much for her not being on the screen. Instead, I saw the movie last night and felt in love with Lizzy's character. But they didn't explain what happened to Henley as much as I focused my attention on it.
shareLizzy is a far better actress and her character was a bonus in this fun sequel.
But isla has a perfect face and was also very sweet in that role. I don't mind seeing her in the third film, together with Lizzy.

I agree the new character was better than the old character, but it may have been the writing rather than the actress.

yes, they explained it. they said that isla fisher was tired of waiting for the eye to give them an assignment and decided to leave the group. i wasn't sure coming in was she replacing the character or not so nice that they at least gave an explanation.

I liked Lula much better but did miss Fischer, who only dropped out because she was pregnant. I hope she comes back for the third even if only a scene or 2. I know that would have 2 women magicians in lead roles, not sure Hollywood could handle that.
