SPOILERS ALERT - so why were they all trying to kill him?

Including that telekinetic main villain Akan and his endless team of mercenaries including corrupt Russian policemen and some evil corporation of armed evil soldiers? What was their main beef with him - with Henry? Yes I did indeed watch the film and I did sort of get it.

I suppose there was some kind of competition going on between the two men and that Henry in his Robocop-like or Frankenstein-action-sci-fi movie like way (including first person POV) found out about the corrupt and evil agency and didn't share their goals and so they wanted to destroy him but he turned out to be a smart action hero who stood against them all with the help of his "friend" and massive firepower and whatnot.

But other than that - oh and yeah, what was even the point of creating him and resurrecting him and then trying to kill him? He basically gained conscience of his own and disagreed with them and found out they're evil or something and thus they wanted to destroy him? Or...?

Cheers.

He did not use someone's proper pronouns and it all went downhill for him after that.

Lol, so it was over linguistic (and highly possibly RUSSIAN- oriented) confusions? I see. :)

Its still an OK and decent overall 6/10 movie although its basically overall a glorified albeit fairly well done B-grade movie equivalent of a "Call of Duty" video game. Still, for fans of that as well as appreciators of any Lethal Weapon and Die Hard and Under Siege action movies, films of Jason Statham especially "Crank" and any "Transporter" movies, Liam Neeson flicks, films like "Robocop" and its OK first sequel, "Judge Dredd" and "Demolition Man" Sly Stallone movies, "John Wick" films, the surprisingly solid Kurt Russell flick "Soldier" from 1998 and others, it is worth a look, don't expect anything too great or ground-breaking though (save MAYBE for the first-person POV perspective albeit this time in a silly sci-fi action movie) and you might just appreciate it.

It's possible I remembered the plot incorrectly : P

I do remember seeing it in the theatre and being glad that's how I saw it.

The film itself has a rather thin plot in my opinion despite the occasional "twists" and some tricks being played here and there.
