First movie I ever walked out on!!

I tried. I new it was first person. I knew the camera was going to spin and shake. I didn't know I was going to throw up in my popcorn.
Not enough of a story line to deal with the first person view. It gets old very fast. Stripe club scene halfway through I believe was only there to keep men in their seats. I would not recommend anyone to see this one.

Well, I enjoyed the hell out of it, especially Jimmy and his many avatars. The camera work did not bother me at all.

Yeah me too. I had read the reviews and I was wondering how my brain would react, but my daughter and I both really wanted to see this movie (it's ok, she is 19). As it turned out I felt no ill effects at all. A couple of stomach drops - such as when he was climbing the building and almost fell, and running on top of the bridge with a sudden right turn... Fun stuff! We both enjoyed the hell out of it. My daughter said she felt a twinge of motion sickness, but not enough to bother her or take away from the fun.
While I was watching it I was thinking this definitely isn't for everyone, and I understand why people would have problems, but it was an absolute blast for us. Afterwards I felt not so much like having watched a movie as having gone through an experience.
I suppose that was a big part of why I liked it - I wasn't expecting a deep plot or characters so much as the thrill of the ride.
When it comes out on blue ray I will have to sit really close to the TV...

...or get a really big TV! :)

I think people who play FPS's didn't mind the camera work. I certainly didn't, but it does bother me if it's done badly. This was awesome. My wife enjoyed it too and we all commented that it's like watching an FPS. Nothing wrong with that. I kind of felt like I was watching a giant cut-scene.

You must have a weak ass stomach.

movie was amazing. you're either a 75 year old geriatric or just a very boring person in general.

Better stick with Transformers and various spandex heroes. This is not for you.

I'm sorry to hear that you were brought up inside a theatre and I'm glad this movie finally gave you the impetus to leave that Platonic cave and see the world as it is with your own eyes.Do you think you will ever return to a theatre again? And that's not all........................That's all!

Please walk away.

I hate people eating popcorn at movies. Specially when they cannot keep the mouth closed while chewing.

This review is full of plot holes!

What happened to the popcorn? Did you continue eating it? Was there a refund involved? What did the manager say? Was it a day or nighttime showing? How much butter was on this popcorn?!?
