The bad guy has telekinetic powers....because???

I must confess i didnt pay attention when it was playing in the background of the living room, did i miss the part they explain how or why he get powers? Because everyone, in the movie, was pretty casual about it and i never heard anyone raising any questions about it.

There is a comic Book that explains this. It's called Hardcore Akan and it serves as a prequel to the movie. You will get your answers there...
