I've watched this yesterday and for some reason it just didn't click with me. The first one did much more for me. Maybe it's just me, but i also thought they showed the enemy/ghost/creature too many times and it never really was scary at all. That or horrors just can't scare me at all anymore.

shareI also enjoyed this one more than the first. The demon nun alone is enough to make it scarier than the original. Even the cheap scares were better. The girl who played Janet was amazing, and the characters overall were more charismatic. Overall, a sequel better than the original imho.
shareI absolutely agree. I liked the variety of ghosts and demons in The Conjuring 2. Yes, as a horror movie buff, I have to say the demon nun was the scariest horror scene I have seen in a long time.

I agree and disagree. It's definitely not quite as good as the 1st both as a movie and horror wise, as I feel they showed too much and it went the way of Insidious towards the end (with the ridiculous Crooked Man). However, the scene in the Warren's house with the nun painting is one of the most unwatchably tense scenes I've ever sat through. My heart was racing
