I'm guessing you all don't watch horror films a lot Because this film is not original at all. I think this film is popular because it has a bigger production budget and professional known actors. However, the plot is as cookie cutter straight forward and predictable as ever. This why I hate imdb sometimes....inflated ridiculous scores. This is a 6.5 at best.

This movie got what it deserved. Get over it, if YOU didn't like it, it doesn't mean that it's a bad film or something. It's just a great film you didn't like.
IMO, The Conjuring 2 is the best horror of this year. No other horror could even shot close to it.

shareI agree. They seems to be stuck with the same tricks and twists and other things in pretty much majority of modern horror films. The Conjuring 2, like the first film, was one of the very few modern horrors which tried something new and innovative in some parts, though in general it was just a very polished and 'blockbustesized' collection of all known features.
