He was really bad

Despite his lack of star quality I immediately accepted Neel Sethi as Mowgli. It's because he has the look of the 1967 animated character.

To me he looked perfect for the role. But he definitely could have been directed a bit better. Hopefully he will be better in the sequel since he will be a bit older

I think part of the reason is because everything was CGI.

Give the kid a break, it was his first movie and everything he has to interact with was cgi. I think with the limitations, he did a great job.

Thank you. I thought he did a pretty good job and he looked like he was really enjoying himself. I love this movie. But everyone seems to be a critic these days.

I would love to see the OP do any better.

Always look for the positive in every situation.

To be honest, I don't expect an Oscar-worthy performance from a kid.

I thought he looked the part & with his acting for me it just felt right. The original book & movie were my favourite as a kid & I reckon he had the right kind of style for the part..
