Because so many people kept spamming lots of same posts such as one how they wanted Elle Fanning to star in Ben Affleck's 'Batman' film. As well as all the anger that was being posted on the Star Wars threads with the studio's direction. What I remember. Still didn't mean they had to completely cancel all the threads. Should have got some kind of moderation to stop the same spam comments being made I guess.

Basically, from what I recall, it was the constant spamming, trolling, & off-topic flame wars, especially on the TWD, & GoT boards.

You can see this site why imdb shut down. And this was before diversity was considered a negative thing and no one said stupid shit like woke
