wow. hard to talk about this one. but I will.
I see these type of films with family because THEY want to. It's torture to me, not because of religion, but because the films are SOOOO terrible.
My idea of a great, touching religious film is PASSION OF THE CHIRST. Nothing less. the rest of these small time, low budget, stinkers are crap.

PLOT: [SPOILERS] based on a true story I could care less about: super rich drug runners get caught, go to prison, find jesus, get shot for thier crimes. the end. Oh wait, the super harsh/cruel prison warden SUDDENLY finds jesus too in a crying final scene. that is it.

I never cared about the people - even less about loser drug dealer types. not sure WHY he became relgious... other than being in prison, going to die in a few months, nothing else to do?

PRODUTION: It was filmed, edited and released. Badly. Audio is all over the place, some live mic'd then cleaned badly, some overdub, some cut away from people talking so they could change dialog probably.

Bad dialog, like normal in these low budget christian films. pushed. some even senseless, silly. ugh.

I know to cut costs, they green screen many shots. even just standing in a room background, you can see the fuzzy cut out around the person, as their head/hair flits in and out of being blocked.
AND.... they cut and pasted in more people in background in the prison scenes, to fill out the feel of it being crowded, I guess?? Looked horrible. colors didnt match, some were walking in slow mo with juttery frame chop. just so ugh!!
LOTS of effectgs like that. There was a blond girl in a blue dress pasted into an audience scene several times, lighting was all wrong, she stuck out - is a main character, but wasnt really needed there.

Maybe some people on this production will read this and know they need to step up their game. I've seen NO budget Indie productions that are better. Christian films don't have to suck!
BUT, why change or improve budget if the churchy types (who are already reached) keep supporting it like it is great?

Unappologetic drug lords, go to prison, accept christ, die? Where is the appeal for a chirstian movie??? They were human garbage. Zero redemption film. No meat there to support.
seemed really lazy and pandering to its audience.
Opening night at larger busy theater.... 6 people, including us 2. ooof

probably not even worth 1 star, except it is a completed movie. yuck.
