Where did Roger and Bree end up?

shareAt the end of "Journeycake." Roger, Bree and Jemmy went through the stones. When they "woke up" and looked around, Roger said, "What the devil?" and then, fade to black.
Since this did not happen in the books, it was a very effective way to end an episode.
I was thinking you meant that scene.
I assumed that they didn’t go anywhere, technically....I guess initially for a moment they went ‘through‘ the stone but obviously for whatever reason, it popped them back from whence they came.
I think the characters even said, in essence, that it works in a Wizard of Oz kind of way, as in, you think of home and that’s where it drops you.
So they perhaps disappeared only momentarily? In my head that’s what worked....and why Ian would be more surprised, as he was when he saw them again....reappear?; I can’t imagine the physics of it if they’d disappeared and were literally gone for hours.
I realize that now, after watching “Never My Love.” I wrote the post right after “Journeycake” ended.
Roger & Bree both admitted they were thinking of Fraser’s Ridge and not of the 1980’s. I thought it was really cool tHat Roger was thinking of Fraser’s Ridge as home, since he had so many (really good) reasons to not want to stay.
