Actors considered/rumoured to play Batman in this movie

Josh Brolin - Had meetings with Zack Snyder about playing the role, while he would have been great int he role, I think he was better off as Thanos and even Cable

Jason Momoa - Auditioned for the role but was later cast as Aquaman

Ryan Gosling - Was considered but apparently turned it as he did not want to commit to a franchise at the time

Joe Manganiello - Was considered but was later cast as Deathstroke

Max Martini - Was considered

Richard Armitage - Was considered

Matthew Goode - Was considered

Scott Adkins - Auditioned for the role but knew the the studio wanted Ben Affleck, but he would have been badass in the role

Wes Bentley - Was Christopher Nolan's recommendation for the role

Jake Gyllenhaal - Was writer David Goyer's recommendation for the part

Luke Evans and Orlando Bloom were also considered

Jon Hamm - Was considered but lost out to Affleck, would have been an interesting choice

Jeffrey Dean Morgan - Ended up being cast as Thomas Wayne instead
