Critics are nuts. Movie's a scream

I'd bought tickets before the awful reviews came out. The trailer looked funny. We all went to the theatre dreading the experience. We laughed our heads off as did the rest of the packed theatre. Vergara is a comic genius. People even applauded at the end.

What's with these reviews? Very strange.

comedies are meant to be seen with a crowd. Not alone to write a review.

Haven't personally seen it but I work at a movie theater, and it's been getting a pretty good reception from our guests. Lots of people coming out talking about how they enjoyed it, lots of laughs when I peek in to do theater-checks during the show, etc.

I'm tempted to see it myself, since I could use some good laughs and most people seem to be enjoying it at my theater.

And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?

That's odd, because it received a terrible C+ CinemaScore on its opening weekend -- only Unfriended got a worse score recently. Even Paul Blart got a B-.

Plus, looking at its box office ($32m), it'll barely make back the low $35m budget (and that doesn't factor in the amount spent to market it). Seems like not many people are telling their friends to rush out and see it.

Reese and Sofia likely thought it was gonna make 'The Heat' kinda box office.
