Recently rewatched dazed and confused, before watching this movie and for me this is a superior upgrade in multiple ways.
The pacing of jokes, humour, wit was nonstop for two hours. More likeable and interesting characters, the oddballs have their shining moments in the movie.
I will say, the soundtrack in dazed and confused might be better than this one depending on your taste. But the car ride scene within the first 10 minutes was great.

shareI agree for the most part. What I think Dazed has over this one are the actual stories of the two main characters. Watching Pink struggle with his authority issues and how it affects his friends and teammates and watching Mitch grow into his new social station is what made Dazed so good. You get less of that in this movie. It's more about portraying that feeling of freedom and finding how you fit in in a totally new situation.
So I think Everybody Wants Some!! is probably a better made movie, but I still like Dazed a bit more.
