I don't consider that a twist...it is just dishonest.

To have such a long, detailed series of events, so logical, in such detail, experiencing the pain through the events only have POOF it was all a hallucination...none of it happened.

That's just stupid and it angered me and turned me against the film more than anything.

Yeah seriously the fake ending would have been a perfectly fine ending, instead they decided to be all artsy and attempted to be deep and we ended up with a really really stupid ending. So what did the characters learn? I guess the message is just be a boring person like Lisa was, don't be like Kate or else you'll get eaten.

I knew it was a hallucination from the get-go ...the captain foreshadowed it with his "nitrogen narcosis" comment before sending down the extra air tanks. Then the events themselves really seemed odd and even more unbelievable then the previous unbelievable scenarios in the film. In particular, the sister just laying there bleeding profusely no sharks around at that point. Don't get me started on their ascent to the boat and then the shark attack once they were at the surface.

Btw, has anyone here ever A) been 150 ft below the surface of ocean (even tropical waters) and know how dark and COLD it is, and B) ever tried swimming in the ocean without flippers?

Not a bad action flick, just pretty frick'n unbelievable on every level.
