I guess that was the whole selling point of this drivel anyway.

I just wish the espionage was written n directed better, it could have been an interesting take on the sex work of secret agents. But it was not!

I largely agree. Speaking for myself, I'd never heard of this movie when I saw it just the other day. For some reason, when I saw the name 'Red Sparrow' I just imagined it was about a member of the French resistance in WW2 or similar. At 2 and a half hours and not being a real fan of Jennifer Lawrence, I was seriously considering not bothering to watch it. But I reluctantly did, I picked up the general plot and Boy oh boy was I pleasantly surprised. All that nudity and explicit sexual content. I have a new found respect for Lawrence and her body that I never ever had before. Yes you are right that it could have been written and directed better and It was still too long. Never the less the film was still a pleasant surprise to me on the whole.
