That scene was clear to me, but I found it odd they didn't really highlight it in anyway. I'd like to see his facial expression about what he was doing there. The part I'm confused about was the opening scene. What the hell happened? But it's forgotten in his new evil exploits.
His abuse of the Rene Russo character really underscored his evil shitty psychopathy.
What abuse? They were using each other. Nina was a successful, independent, strong, assertive woman who wouldn’t play submissive unless that role turned her on, which it clearly did. Throughout the film she did not hesitate to speak her mind, shut people down or explicitly express what she wanted. Sexual dynamics between men and women exist on a spectrum. A man’s/woman’s professional standing has no bearing on their sexual interest. She was looking for a sexual partner who was just as or more assertive than her and Lou was more than available to fill that role. As far as Lou’s sociopathy, Nina is an aged and highly experienced woman and should be mindful of the company she keeps, as should everyone.
