Pitch Perfect 3 ideas....

So how things ended in pitch perfect 2..any ideas or thoughts of what a possible story line could be to make pitch perfect 3. Maybe a reunion type scenario or something??

Barden Bellas (with a lot of the Team Becca members) going to a nationally televised competition for a contract i.e. The Sing-Off against some of the best types of professional acapella groups out there of different types.

Heck, seeing the Bellas compete versus types like Home Free, the Filharmonics, Straight No Chaser, and Pentatonix would be interesting to see.

This is where you can actually have the Bellas lose too without them looking so bad.

As long as they don't attempt a "next generation" type thing, I'm all for it. I'm afraid that's what they are going for with Hailee Steinfield being the lead and the other girls merely just helping the new team out. I love Hailee and all but I don't want that

Why does it matter? Even if they were banging it doesn't mean they have to be killed. It should not be relevant even if Nicole was not separated/divorced.

If they don't go with the next generation, then it's no longer about collegiate acapella. I'd like to see the old group as much as anyone, but they've kind of written themselves into a corner by having everybody graduate.

I'd say the Rocky III plot line. The Bellas alumni, resting on their laurels, suddenly can't win anything. They lose everything they've entered lately, despite being heavy favorites. There's a huge national A Cappella competition (maybe a Singing Show on TV) coming soon which the Bell-a-lums are wanting to audition for and win the huge prize and recording contract.

At her job, Beca see that a recording from Das Sound Machine is climbing the US and international charts and notices they'll be performing on a US singing show as the guest performers. She uses her connections at the recording studio to get back stage passes. Seeing Kommissar, and still unable to reconcile her ambiguous feelings for the German, Beca she sits down with Kommissar and discusses the chagrin she & the Bell-a-lums are feeling. Kommissar gets Pieter over there and they tell her that the Bell-a-lums have gotten complacent and lost their edge. Kommissar, knowing Beca's attraction for her, uses her womanly wilds to convince her that DSM can help them get their edge back if she repays her this one condition... a secret which she'll tell Beca after she & DSM get the Bell-a-lums back to their previous glory at the competition. We don't know what the implication is there, but let's just say it's mysterious and very ambiguous.

Kommissar suggests they come to Germany to the DSM training camp. The even get the junior in college, Emily Junk (who's now the leader of the Barden Bellas), to spend 6 weeks of her summer with them in Germany. They agree and take a trip to Germany and the DSM training camp -- where ironically the lovely Aubrey is DSM's new military-style camp leader. While there the DSMs explain to them how great Das Sound Machine is and it's because they know what they do and aim to do it with perfection; yet the Bellas beat them in 2015 because the Bellas had that "something special." The crux of the story is all the things that happen in Germany with the Bell-a-lums & Emily, the DSMs, and Bumper, who of course crashes because he couldn't be without Amy for too long. They want to get the Bell-a-lums back to knowing what they do and doing what they do with perfection.

In the end, with Kommissar, Pieter, and the DSMs watching, the Bell-a-lums crush the competition and win going away ... and now Beca is excited and looking forward to having to "pay" Kommissar. Beca may be thinking its an 'experimental private outing" with just the two of them, when Kommissar and Pieter tell her no -- they want one more underground riff-off with just the two groups, no audience, no cameras, no titles at stake -- just the groups, the Big Board, and maybe even Bumper as the moderator -- and that's how it ends-- with the best underground riff-off ever!

I actually love this idea.

How about in #3 Becca and Fat Amy have their vocal chords ripped out by wolves? They did take that oath about not dating Treblemakers, after all.
