Why did they decide to have that weird subplot where Becca was attracted to the German Woman and melt everytime she touched her?

I thought it was not about Beca's sexuality but more like, despite being provoked to trash talk the German woman, she was too much in awe of her and the powerful confidence their group displayed to find flaws she could call out. Beca is also a feminist and a reasonably nice person (matter-of-fact, but not mean), so she's not going to rip on another woman who is talented and attractive as if those things aren't true.
That's true, but she also said some things to that Legacy girl while they were making the demo that were not quite straight. And she barely gave her boyfriend the time of day through the whole movie. I expected a coming-out announcement by the end of the movie.

Just like this movie as a whole, we have already seen everything in Pitch Perfect.
