Hollywood going deep down, this movie is a total fiasco. Why this kind of stupid, dumb films have success on people? Our society and culture are going down that fast? Why in the name of god this piece of s... Have high imdb rate? what's happening now with imdb? How old are those people that vote this garbage, and btw, that atv scene??? Come on, come on!! Seriously, if this have 6.5, the The nice guys, also comedy, should have 10/10, Remember the South park episode when the standard is deep down the sea, yes.. here we go. In a few years.. If we continue like this, we were end like in the movie Idiocracy. Americans do you really, really like this pseudo-film?
Yes, i like the hangover, but this is just a copy from a bad copy who want to imitate hangover recipe. Why bothers me is high ratings on imdb, and the fact that i cant trust imdb anymore
It's all relative. Dumb stupid funny movies should be rated accordingly. If you like one, great, if you don't, move along. They're clearly never going to be utterly flawlessly amazing. People are just so entitled these days they feel they deserve everything and have the right to deconstruct and criticise incessantly. And, for what?
I didn't see it on screen but U bought it on Amazon..rather good but similiar to Dirty grandpoa, whichwas already out just several months before, in using both Aubrey Plaza and Zac Efron, and using several girls (Anna Kendrick with Miss Plaza instead of Zoey Duetch;no Julianne Hough waiting at home and at the altar), and several guys (Adam Devine and Zac Efron)...and a tourist setting (Hawaii instead of Florida).
Also just god Dirty Grandpa. That one I SAW in theatres, (it was out a few months befopre M&D and still in theatres with ti..) and enjoyed it..oh. De Niro: Garnmk!(pinching Zac Efron's junk in DG).
This movie is atrocious, not that's not an overstatement. There's no logic or cohesiveness, it's just scenes cut together. My god the girls in this movie lowered my intellect, along with Zac Efron, he wants to be Adam Devine then all of a sudden be deep and poetic? Adam Devine delivered what I expected from him I just wish he'd choose better films and leave this Hollywood effiminate work behind him.
I enjoyed how the entire theatre laughed as the bride cheated on her husband but it's ok because he didn't penetrate her? Then her fiancé isn't even that upset or either set of parents embarrassed? There's no logic with the events that take place and how the characters responded to each act. And no one is concerned with two random girls coming to a family wedding in Hawaii? I assumed they'd at least get to know them in the movie not just take them along.
But why are they making them. This is the bigger question. They could be making something truly great and they churn out this *beep* It should be a problem, but now I know why it isn't, because people just dismiss these movies as "silly summer" ones. Turn your brain off at the door is another one. Why? Just why? Lol
Oh, c'mon!! She largely became one of my favorite actresses immediately after seeing her in Up In the Air because her performance was INCREDIBLE.

There's always been bad, gross out comedies since the '80s. This is nothing new. And we have a number of thoughtful, intelligent and emotionally charged dramas and dramedies this year. Many of which are indie. So why not support those instead of focusing on one bad bro-com that will be forgotten by this time next year? I am a socially conscious and liberal minded person that recognizes the ills of society, but hey, the movie made me chuckle a bit. My life is deary enough and sometimes a brain dead type of comedy like this is just what I need.
Well, that seems a bit dramatic. It's just one film.
I like parts of it. I usually avoid this kind of film but I like Anna Kendrick so I watched. It had some very sweet parts some slapstick, some silliness, some outrageous parts, things that make you cringe - there's a touch of horror in this brand of comedy. It's low-brow, all the way!
Perhaps consider that this film was not racist, sexist, homophobic nor did it contain anything related to religious bigotry. It had a loving family whom communicated with each other and forgave. It had a few love stories. It depicted a very loving set of siblings. It had one of the best wedding gifts to a soon-to-bride, ever!!! LOL
Was it also crass, obnoxious and immature - well, yeah.
For my tastes, the humor went too far but that's just a matter of individual sensibilities... not any actual measure of value. I agree with the rating. It's not for everyone but most things artistic aren't. I guess I'd think your point was valid if this kind of film and this kind of humor were all that was being made, bought and viewed.
