The Sean and Dom scene with Gisele’s picture and the cross

I just have a problem with the scene in this movie that actually took place in the timeline after the race scene between those two at the end Tokyo Drift.

When they’re in the parking garage talking later on in F7, Sean gives Dom the photo of Gisele and as he hands him the cross, he says something very interesting that doesn’t make sense; well, two things- after Sean hands him Giselle’s pic, he says this[the cross] was also found by him at the crash. He also said it must’ve been special to Han then immediately after, he asks Dom what he’s gonna do about Han’s killer. Obviously Sean is unaware that Deckerd had Dom’s necklace all along because he assumed Han had it all this time when he said it must have been special to Han but we find out Deckerd had it all this time as he pulled it out of his pocket and slung it down by the wrecked car right as he was leaving that message to Dom.

Okay…. What am I missing here? How can Sean say what he did about Han’s killer when it would seem to me that as far as he should know, DK was pretty much the one who caused Han’s death in the chase scene of Tokyo Drift?

Sure, we, the audience find out at the end of F6 that it was in fact Deckerd Shaw who was driving the silver car that T-boned Han’s car and then made the phone call to Dom- “You don’t know who I am but you’re about to” which we find out at the beginning of F7 when happened because when Dom checks his message right before the house blows up, is the message that Deckerd leaves him after he hit Han’s car in the ending of F6.

The movie clip below doesn’t show it so how can Sean say what he did about asking Dom what he plans to do about Han’s killer when it all the sudden it seems apparent that he knows it wasn’t and accident when the silver car comes out of nowhere and hits Han’s car? First he says something that would make you assume one thing and them immediately after, he says says something that would make you assume something totally different.

You have to assume that Dom told Sean what happened off-screen. Yes, when they race at the end of TD, Sean would have assumed that DK may have had some involvement. But...between the time the race ended, and when we pick up with them talking in the parking structure, there was some form of time gap where they could have had an entire conversation. We, the viewers, were only shown part of their interaction.

That is very true, there’s a lot of times in all the movies that we watch were they just can’t show you everything but in this case, in the very same scene that’s in the YouTube video I posted, we are shown that he says two completely different things that contradict each other but then again, I guess I could see him as already been told that no, even though DK was chasing him, he was purposely hit by the Deckerd Shaw, and still not be aware of the fact that Han never had that necklace in his possession when he assumed it was.

This could be a plot hole
