Bring back the old Fargo (1st 2nd 3rd season style & substance)

Since it's officially renewed I hope they revisit the first three seasons and work on that format, style, cinematography and even casting!
The 4th season is (half-way through) almost a disaster. Please get rid of:
1. The long uneventful boring shots.. 3''-5'' should suffice! It feels as if they haven't written enough dialogue and stall for time.
2. The overuse of brown-sepia filter and dark scenes.. Season 3 was already borderline "over-greyed" but here it's over the top and annoying just like..
3. ..the very bad choice of casting THAT character! Why did you even go there? He's annoying in most scenes, his figure doesn't even project any kind of authority/seriousness/fear and basically he just can't act on anything else that silly comedy and that's a stretch. Practically ruined the season. Would be ok for a secondary character I suppose.. The older guy with the wisdom lines would be a much better cast for the character.
4. Don't over-emphasize scenes with unreal shots. There was no way the police wouldn't discover a dead body shot in front of a store that seemingly stayed there for hours from before sunset to mid-late night! (Spoiler shows which episode that takes place, nothing else 5th episode)
5. Tough Italian guy character was way too intense. ♫ You can look like a psycho some times but you can't look psycho to all the people all the time ♫..
Dick "Deafy" Wickware, Oraetta, Rabbi and Ethelrida are why I may finish the season
...but (EDIT) oh fk.. finished episode 8.. Yep, it's gone completely down the drain now. The events and actions don't even make sense. Fast forwarded the rest, it's bullshit..

First season was an absolute gem. Second was good, a small step down.

Season 3 was only worth watching because of Ewan but not really that good. 4 was worse.

I kind of want them to wrap this series up before they go fully off the rails

On initial viewing, S03 was a bit of a let down from the first 2 seasons, but I feel it does improve on repeat viewings. Mary Elizabeth Winstead & David Thewlis were also very good in their roles. The 3d episode (the one where Carrie Coon's character goes to California to investigate her step-fathers past) was boring & un-nessecary, & didn't really add anything to the story.

As for S04..........ugh! I only watched the first couple of episodes & quickly lost interest in it.

Amen. Loved S01, S02 was about the best season of TV I've seen, S03 was decent and gave up after a couple eps. in to S04.

Loved season 4. I don't get what all the naysaying was about. It didn't rely upon super-villains, just a really quirky murdering nurse = who I found captivating. The historic setting was interesting, The dramatization of aspiring blacks in the latter days of Jim Crow. The relation between the Irishman and the boy in his charge was compelling.

My 2d favorite season, after the first. But even in the first, Billy Bob was over the top in death-dealing, invulnerability.

1-4-2-3, my order.

It's been awhile, but all I caught was season's 1 and 2 and thought they were a wild ride.
McGregor playing 2 different characters seems lazy.

Give it a chance. He pulled it off really well. Initially he was stronger as the younger brother, but the older brother part did become developed more.
