Wow, another drama that feels the need to steal a bombastic name.

Tyrannosaur, Submarine, Leviathan, Carnage, can they please stop hogging such interesting name when they're really not about anything like that?

I understand Tyrannosaur being a bit of a confusing name, and I haven't seen Submarine.

But, as far as Leviathan and Carnage go, those movies absolutely have titles that match the action of the film perfectly. Carnage starts with two boys degenerating into violence on the playground, then shows how adults degenerate into carnage, too. The movie also deals with themes of chaos and disorder. Leviathan considers the darkness of society (as with Hobbes), but if that's not obvious, there's a conversation where a priest quotes the story of Job, using the verses about the Leviathan - which is largely why that word has been digested into our cultural lexicons to this day. So I really don't see how those titles aren't about the films.

And, although Tyrannosaur seemed more loosely associated, I still loved all three movies.

Finally: I don't know how these films could "trick" anybody. I always read the back cover of the DVD or a little preview paragraph on Netflix to check what the movie's about before I watch it. Maybe I watch a trailer. I'd at least look at the genre. They aren't pretending to be monster movies, nor will they appear as such to basic scrutiny, so what's the problem?
