Margaret Thatcher Attempted Assassination?

When Galahad tells Eggsy that one of headline refers to when he prevented the assassination of PM Thatcher. Eggsy responds something to the effect that some people would not thank him for his efforts. Did I hear right? A bit harsh in my opinion and really in poor taste whether you agreed with her policies or not .

She's an easy target since many people loathed her and I can't say I blame them.

I agree. It was in very poor taste, and she was the greatest prime minister since Winston Churchill.

She was only re-elected because there wasn't a strong enough opposition...and unfortunately history is repeating itself.
