Colin Firth's character returning for sequel...

...thoughts?

hope it's not something corny like "oh, the bullet missed my brain by 2mm..I survived..so I'm the new Arthur..." ...hopefully it's something outrageous or at least bring him back as a villain...interested in seeing him go against eggsy

I like that. As much as I liked his character in the 1st 1, it'd be real interesting to see him come back as a villain. A villain that knows exactly how the Kingsmen operate. The guy that trained Eggsy himself. Nice.

The only way I don't see that causing the movie to become a repeat of the first one is for him to come back as a villain.

Probably poppyland is a brainwashing facility. That'd be cool.

If they have a brain in their heads, they will bring him back. He was awesome as well as the actor who played Eggsy.
It's not too hard to see it happen as well. Harry's wearing his Kingsman glasses, (Which I'm supposing are bulletproof as well as capable of displaying images). There's even a sharp pinging noise as the shot is fired, (The bullet ricocheting off the glasses), plus, you see no blood (Of which there was plenty of in this movie) and nobody from Valentine's group actually checks the body. They just walk away and the girl just assumes he's dead.

It would be ridiculous if he survived. He his character made a "Obi-Wan" here. But I can see a flashback scene in the sequel like in the beginning of the movie. Or maybe as a guiding voice to Eggsy in the end of the movie.

There are lots of reasonable ways Harry Hart could show up. Remember, Eggsy grew up without a Dad, came to see Harry as a mentor, and then lost Harry. Harry could come back in Eggsy's thoughts. Eggsy might imagine how Harry would help him or Eggsy might have a memory of something that occurred between the two of them that we didn't see.

Or, they might come up with a plausible explanation of why it appeared as if Harry died, but he didn't.

Honestly? I'm hoping for that last option because I love Colin Firth as Harry Hart and would enjoy seeing many Kingsman sequels as long as they are each done well!

reply

^I see that as the most reasonable scenario. A flashback or two with Harry and Eggy's dad wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

I'd love to see you in the moonlight with your head thrown back and your body on fire.

Oh I do believe that's highly unlikely, Mr. Dieigee. On the other hand, stranger things have happened in the cinema.
