I felt like I stared at a dark TV screen for 30-40 mins. Someone turn on the lights

No, my TV is fine, and I have 20-20 corrected vision. I have no issues with darkness in any other movie except this one

2023 Vizio. I've had no issues seeing other movies except this one. This is what this movie becomes when they're in the basement

I changed my TV setting from "Cinema" to "Vivid" and everything became much brighter and visible

I watched on a laptop and also found it pretty dark. Films these days are made to be viewed in HDR though.

I watched it in HDR and it was still very dark. But it's a dark movie. And it makes that escape at the end that much brighter!

I have never had to change color for any other movie. I'm not starting for this one. This is the movie's problem, not mine
