I haven't seen this but I'm wondering if this is the story that Orphan was based on? I'm pretty sure the writers must have heard about this and it gave them the idea for Orphan.
Edited to say I just read she tried to kill her adoptive mother. I am convinced that this is what Orphan is based on.
I've never heard of this case, but it sounds like you could be right about Orphan.

Apparently a lot of people thought the same thing but we were wrong. It makes me wonder how many other little people have passed themselves off as children.
I am not sure if Orphan is based on anyone in particular but there is a TV show based on a girl that has a similar condition to the girl in Orphan, it's called I Am Shauna Rae. I think it's on TLC.
This girl looks like she's 10 years old but she's over 20. Her voice stayed young too...

I could only sit through one episode of Curious Case Of NG though, it's kinda dull and the ones that adopted her are too naive to be taken seriously. Something else was going on in that household.

Orphan came out in 2009. So the court ordered aging her up would have been around 2012-13.
