Brilliant film.

I don't understand the hate the movie is getting, what was wrong with? It's an absolutely hilarious movie and Randall Park does a fantastic job as Kim Jong Un. When I say fantastic, I really mean it. He made me sympathise with such an evil person and delivered all of his lines perfectly.

The jokes were hilarious, the action was good and I've already watched it twice. What's not to love?

This isn't just a low-brow comedy like people think, it's actually a quality movie, so don't listen to people and give it a watch!

James Franco was cringe-worthy in this. And Seth Rogen played the exact character he plays in every movie.

Brilliant? You have got to be joking! A single joke, smutty Jewish humour, and the subject the murder of another country's leader. Is this what passes for comedy in the USA these days?

All things considered, it's a good comedy that has just enough laughs to justify watching. But I kind of expected more intelligence and humor from a Seth Rogen movie.

The film's premise was really original, and it raised the challenge to come up with a witty ending that's on par with it, to make the film a little memorable.

Unfortunately they didn't do it. They stayed in their teenage comfort zone and delivered the same old lazy super exaggerated all-out gun fest with lots of blood, explosions and stupid punchlines that so many other forgettable comedies have for an ending.

So to answer your question, people are severe with this film because it had good potential and it got ruined. Watching this film was like eating way too much chocolate, at first it tastes and feels great, then you keep eating even though you are feeling guilty, then your stomach starts to ache, and finally you get really sick and regret it all.

This.
This movie really had the potential but got wasted halfway through.
Still good entertainment, but nothing extraordinary.

I think you 5-6 line post was funnier than the entire movie.

I love this movie. I watched it a couple of times too.
