I love both this film and the original animated film

Hate on the live action film all you want, haters. But what you say will never change my love for it. I love the animated film just as much as the animated film. Is there any problem with that?

The reason why I love the live action film is because:
1. They filled in some of the potential plot holes in the animated film,
2. They gave Lefou more dimension.
3. They made Gaston more darker in this film and made him more subtle in his attempts to woo and marry Belle.
4. They gave Belle and Beast reasons why they are the way there are.
5. All in all, they expanded on the characters more.

The reason why I love the animated film as well is because:
1. The story is timeless.
2. The songs are memorable.
3. The music is mesmerizing.
4. The animation is amazing.

I've heard many of you haters saying how Belle is nothing but a snobbish gold-digger, and Gaston is not a bad person, and Maurice has no right to reject Gaston in this live action film. I tried explaining every detail behind it all and how the characters are not what they appear to be. The whole point of the film is to NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER. Appearances, first impressions, who their fathers are. But if what you say is how you want to see this film, fine. Go ahead. You'll be losing all sense of common sense but that's ok. To each their own. But I have seen the live action film 4 times now, and I've seen who the characters really are. And they are not who you think they are.

Agreed with everything you said. I seen the film 3 times already(DVD comes out next month where im from in Ireland). And from beginning to end I was hooked on it. Here is why I loved the film

1. Stayed true to the classic
2. Emma Watson nailed it out of the park as Belle.
3. Alan Menken is back YIPPEE
4. Dan Stevens was brilliant as the Beast/Prince
5. The climax scene had me in tears
6. Love the new songs(Evermore,How Does A Moment Last Forever)
7. Luke Evans was outstanding as Gaston.
8. More backstory on the enchantress and the other characters.
9. Emma Watson CAN SING(fuck those who thinks she can't sing cause she is a nice decent singer)
10. It was beautiful,whimsical and my favourite live action Disney movie.

Best film of 2017 in my opinion.

I just saw it today and i agree with you.Loved this one.Funny to see beast singing though lol! reminded me of Grease! nice movie though!

Reason for me to love this remake is because.

1. It enhanced the strengths of the animated feature more. It allowed it's strengths to shine more and therefore be brilliant.
2. It had some nice visuals.
3. It's comedy wasn't as juvenile and blatant as the comedy from the animated features.
4. For the same first reason you've mentioned, op.
5. The same reason why you filled in number 5.

The reason to love the animated film is:

1. It's songs and score is mesmerizing.
2. The animation is good (though not in all parts).
3. Belle was frankly way more likable and lovely in the animated version (not to mention hotter).
4. It is enchanting on it's own right.
