Said a New Line rep in statement, “Territory Pictures and New Line Cinema have decided not to release Horizon: Chapter 2” on August 16 in order to give audiences a greater opportunity to discover the first installment of Horizon over the coming weeks, including on PVOD and MAX.

Or maybe the movie just didn't look that interesting? I love a good western starring Kevin Costner but this looked like a tv miniseries, not something that should be in cinemas. Plus the commercials never really explained what the story was.
