FTLOG do NOT watch the first movie!!! And don't watch this one either. The first one was bad but was salvaged from being terrible (to just being bad), courtesy of Ethan Hawke.
There was certainly no reason to make a sequel to this film...at all. This one doesn't have Hawke in it either so I would say to do yourself a favour and "skip" both of them.
Yes you'll have to like many have said cause you wont understand what the story is all about or how it all got started. So I suggest you watch part one first
I suggest you watch the first film and skip the sequel altogether.
Sinister is one of the best horror films released in recent memory, while its sequel is complete garbage.

Sinister is my favorite horror film ever. That said I do actually recommend watching this. It is not as good as the first one, and I didnt really care for it when I saw it, but its a movie the more I think about, and on a second viewing the more I liked. There is stuff in here that is good, and creepy. Though there is also a lot of issues.
shareWatch the first one first. The mystery in the first movie and Ethan Hawke slowly uncovering it was my favorite element of that movie. I think that watching them out of order would ruin a lot of that.
