Wow! What an amazing twist!

Is what no one said about last night's season finale.

Spoilers ahead...

It was sadly predictable that Liz was involved with the escape. As for the bones, I assumed all along they were the bones of Raymond Reddington. Pathetic writing.

What comes next is even more stupid. This guy has been Raymond Reddington for over 30 years, but Liz automatically believes the skeleton is her father as opposed to the guy we know as Reddington. True or not, what an idiotic leap. We don't know if either are really her father, but for her to make that stupid speech when it's possible our Reddington's real identity could be her father, is just horrible writing. No intelligent human even thinks that way. My first thought would have been, well, maybe this imposter is my father and the real Reddington is not. I actually hope this doesn't get renewed. It doesn't deserve it.

I assume you were joking about the "amazing twist"...?

Sorry, it got renewed. But I agree with you.

reply

Yes, it was sarcasm. Which is why I said it was something no one said to describe the episode.

It already got renewed? That can only mean another show, more deserving, will probably get the axe. The writers behind this travesty don't deserve their jobs.

reply

Indeed.

And to make it worse? Raymond is not her father. He is her mother ...

reply

Well what is really ridiculous is that Raymond turned himself into the FBI in the first episode. Guess what would happen to him? They would have gotten finger prints and and DNA sample to verify he was who he claimed to be. So now Liz has decided that the entire FBI was involved in the conspiracy because the FBI verified that he was in fact Raymond Reddington. It makes me wonder if the idiots that wrote the episode have even been bothered to review past episodes for even modest continuity. And of course we will ignore the DNA sample she already had taken from him and compared to herself in the past episodes... My god it wasn't a bad twist it was beyond jumping a shark it was utter and complete shite.
