I'm not sure what the point was in robbing Maritza. Was he so desperate due to the fact that his initial quest for cash was unsuccessful upon finding the money in the buried box had decayed. When he shot her I was devastated !

He didn't want to come back empty handed to his master, Pablo. Limón killing Mariza was ultimately a fatal mistake he committed and left the young girl without a parent.

I think it was a way for the show to make us viewers hate Limon.
Plus, that guy was about to leave and she had to act bitchy and touch. I'm a guy and if someone was holding a gun at me, I wouldn't be making sudden movements that could trigger that gun.
I dont think it was about hating Limon, I think he did it because she talked about ratting him out. the same reason they sent that other lady to the USA. being a rat to them is the worst thing. the moment she said she was going to rat him out is the moment he lost his cool
He shot her by accident I don't believe he was going to shoot her just to scare her and maybe give him more money but her death was unexpected for me also
I agree with a previous poster that the shot went off in the heat of the moment. I guess her having grown up knowing Limon for so long, never expected him to turn on her. Especially as he'd helped her escape La-Quica in an earlier eps & also following being 'sent on her way' with them both + Escobar in the church episode (...which I didn't get anyway, since everyone else with any Pablo dealings good or bad was 'silenced')
