I thought it was good!

I don't get the terrible reviews here. I feel like some of you guys went in expecting some kind of glorious Oscar-worthy drama or something, when they made it clear that this was a straight comedy. For that, I'd say it succeeded, as my theater was laughing throughout. The story was good, and Bell & McCarthy made a great duo, I thought.

Are you a 12 yo girl?

Funny as hell. I was laughing at the more subtle crude stuff. The women in my audience were rolling laughing, like I've never seen before. I cringed at the two prize parents who brought their 10 year old daughter to watch this. They must bathe together. -WoW

I am not a big fan of McCarthy's in fact I'd rather go to the dentist, but I want to thank you for writing something positive here - I expected the reviews to trash her and the movie, and I probably will hate it, BUT a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do, so I'm going to get my teeth pulled without Novocain - oops, I mean I'm going to go see this debacle that you liked, and have given me some hope that I won't want to blow my brains out...

So, thank you...

Now, I'm off to see the wizard... And, who knows maybe I'll return here and write something of use to someone else... We shall see... Meanwhile, Bless your heart...

Oscar drama? No... a comedy, actually, one that had a purpose.

I saw it yesterday 3 guys came out talking about how terrible it was, I checked imdb and saw 5.0 I was like oh man! and than enjoyed it! 7/10 , not bad at all i laughed throughout the movie. It was super predictable but these movies are, and I think she is a better co star ( bridesmaids) than a main star, but I enjoyed it.

Sometimes you need to be high. This might be one of those times.

I agree! I don't understand the 5.1 rating. The movie was funny and silly, a straight up comedy and I'm not even usually a McCarthy fan but this was a really good comedy. Don't know why this is getting flamed so hard when things like "anchorman 2" that really really sucked still manage to pull a 6.1 (the first anchorman was hilarious, the second one was terrible imo) Gave it a 7/10.

I completely agree. I laughed many many times. Despite what people say about McCarthy's schtick, it works. She's good at it and this character WAS different from others (e.g. I hated the movie Tammy).

I would recommend it and watch it again because it made me laugh a LOT.

I agree, it was funny in several places. Not quite as good as Spy was but gave it a 7/10 as opposed the the 5.4 it is showing now.

I thought it was really funny at times. It certainly doesn't deserve all of the bad one star reviews it's getting on here. I've read a few of them, and many of them come from people who don't like gross-out comedy and can't handle profanity. The Boss never pretended to be anything other than the very silly, but fun, movie, that it is.
