I really enjoyed this. It didn't really present anything new in sci-fi terms, the animation itself wasn't special and it's a bit girlbossy, but overall it was a lot of fun and better written than 99% of the stuff modern Hollywood churns out. It integrated a lot of sci-fi tropes well and handled them with unusual subtlety, plus the plot was interesting and well paced. It's the best sci-fi I've seen in several years, so that's an 8/10 from me.

I also give it 8/10. Expected it to be a typical French "style over substance" thing, but the story is interesting. I never felt bored and the good soundtrack gives is a nice flow. The ending felt a bit rushed and overall it does not bring anything original on the table, as you said, but it certainly it is worth watching!
