Is there 1 good videogame movie???
I liked the first Mortal Kombat and that's all and that was when I was a teenager. I can't think of a good one, except Wreck it Ralph!

shareMortal Kombat is the most serviceable in terms of quality and translation. The original Silent Hill was visually striking, but a complete mess in terms of storytelling. The real problem here is that these screenwriters don't know how to translate them, or producers end up hiring mediocre talent behind the camera.
Games are as much a visual medium as film. How anyone could f_ck up a translation is beyond me, but Hollywood continues to do so.You play an awesome sequence in a game, and imagine how it would play in a film. Here's all of this awesome imagery in motion to take notes from, and all they have to do is add some decent dialogue. HOW DO YOU F_CK THAT UP?
Yet, the screenwriters mainly avoid sticking to the source material. That's why Mortal Kombat is often considered the most successful. Its sole focus is on a fighting tournament. Now look at something like Agent 47. It's NOTHING like the game. The writers attempt to implement these sh!tty new plot elements whilst abandoning the core source material. It's like making a film about novel with only a few minutes dedicated to the original material.

Super Mario Bros, Final Fantasy: Spirits Within and Mortal Kombat 2 were fails.
Street Fighter was so bad it's good.
Mortal Kombat was good but missing the gore.
The Tomb Raider films and Prince of Persia were okay.
The Resident Evil are decent in their own right if you ignore the fact their supposed to be adaptions.
Alone in the Dark, I forgot most of what happened.
Doom was actually good but I think it could be done better.
Have trouble remembering bits of Bloodrayne.
Silent Hill was actually good and the sequel was even better.
Hitman was okay but I had trouble following the whole Russian president plot.
Name of the King was about average.
Max Payne, I actually liked but I never played the game and I think they should have just tied it all up instead leaving open for a sequel that didn't happen.
Need for Speed was another good one.
As for Hitman: Agent 47, yeah, it was better than the first Hitman.
I really enjoyed Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Not all that much to do with the actual games beyond the core concept though.
Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider, Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter were fun but nothing special. I mention the last two mostly out of nostalgia.
Max Payne is a guilty pleasure of mine; it's so cheesy.
Well, besides MK, SH and PoP that everyone mentioned.
I really love Resident Evil movies.
No, not Paul Anderson fantasizing about his wife in kinky outfits Resident Evil movies :s
