His daughter plays the pop star?
Seriously? 🤨
shareWhats the issue?
shareThere is none. Are you new to the internet? It's where idiots congregate, to spew hilariously uninformed opinions. Typically, the more strident and convinced the given idiot is, the more Wrong they are about what they're babbling. Case in point:

Sorry I only signed up to the interwebs this week via the AOL CD I received in the mail. It said 1000 hours free so it was too good to pass up!
Thank you for that linky text. 🤓
I agree, this is the weirdest and most worrying part of the film. Apparently the film more or less centers around his daughter's pop singing, so much so that Shayamalan has called the film "a musical" with constant singing. The whole idea is that the film is synchronized and timed to the music of an entire full length concert, and she wrote all the songs. This role should've gone to an actual pop star with experience in songwriting because even if it all works out, it's obvious nepotism from Shayamalan's part. Everything about the film sounds pretty interesting but having the director's daughter write and perform the entire soundtrack has me worried.
shareI just watched. She wasn't bad. It was probably cheaper for him to use his daughter than to pay $10 million for Olivia Rodrigo (or whoever)
