Why Were They So Violent?

That didn’t make sense, since it was explained that we used to live side by side a long time ago. Yeah, yeah I know that guys said something about “pets” but. That part was stupid, it had to have been more than that. Why did they all want to kill?

Madeline makes the least sense. Because she successfully masqueraded as one of us, and she was with us all the while, in our struggles with them, seeing who and what we were as a species, if she didn’t already know. Didn’t make a world of sense that she’d turn around at the end and would be just like the rest of them, ready to smack Mina around and then kill her after all the time she spent supposedly “bonding” with us. Never mind the time she spent as Kilmartin’s wife in all that while, I mean c’mon now. Were they ALL THAT bent on our destruction? Could none of them have been the least bit amicable towards us? Do any of you agree?

I have not seen this yet, but based on what you said here, I absolutely agree. It's kind of the character growth arc.... that regressed instead of grew? Sounds like piss poor writing with a turn for the nonsense action sake.

This is what I am talking about when I say writers don't know how to drive or end the story right any more. Feels like they throw a bunch of crap on a wall and see what sticks. Very sad.

You'd be grumpy too if you were locked under the ground for thousands of years and losing your wings.
