Is this film better than "Moonlight"?
And "Manchester by the Sea"?
shareAs a film, Fences is not better than Manchester or Moonlight.
As a dramatic performance, work, it is probably better than both. Ive seen the play performed by a professional black reperatory company amd it is extremely powerful on stage. I do not see that presenting this material in cimema form improved it.
