Wouldn't he be comparatively weaker ? The blind spider-children do okay, but then again they also get dispatched with ease. While a child host body would make you a smaller target, you're also a hell of a lot easier to restrain. Sardu/the giant's body was effective for its time (size and intimidation had its advantages), but seems like finding the fastest and fittest body possible would be The Master's best option. A triathalon athlete's ? Not anything too big and bulky this time, I would think.

Wonder if they'll show him in a female host body at any point.

Was the host body that confronted Quinlan and his guardian in 60 AD also the same Master body that was dying and needed to transfer its worms into Josef Sardu in Romania in the book's prologue/Season 2's premiere's prologue ? Just wondering if it was the same actor.

So I wasn't imagining things, the Master really got killed?? I watched it a few times over. Did Quinlan lop his head off with his sword? And was that good enough to end him?

you people are not watching the movie well it is established that Master can not be killed only prisoned in a box, led and silver box, i am guessing that led is to stop him communicating and silver is to stop any other vampire to open the box, i think that he will be captured and prisoned in a box all eternity, i think there is nasty surprise in the box coming from Egypt plus all this is not going to end up well for ancients unless they help instead of hiding.
