Of course the master is still alive

Will Zach become the master? Didn't read books

reply

well apparently the books are out the window because the master was always bolivard till the end. so no, zack didn't become the master in the book. he was supposed to. becoming the master basically means the person dies. so if they go that route in the show, then zack is going to have to die.

I'm guessing Kelly's body will be the master's new vessel

reply

In the books the reason why the Master keeps Zach alive is because he is planning to eventually take over Zach and live in him, discarding Bolivar. This seems possible now given what has happened to the Master. This would also be convenient considering the ending of the books, when Zach and Eph both die in the nuclear explosion. So if Zach dies in the end with his dad (according to the books) why not make things interesting by making Zach the new host. But then again it seems the series is turning more and more away from the books at this point so this is just speculation.

Zach and Eph both die in the nuclear explosion. So if Zach dies in the end with his dad

I started watching this show a couple of days ago. Never knew it was made after a book. So the book ends with a nuclear eplosion and everyone dies? Does the master and the rest of the vampires also die?

Raylan Givens: I'm going to need an ambulance, and a coroner.

reply

Does the master and the rest of the vampires also die?

Yes. All the vampires die.

reply

And the "Heroes" do also all die in nuclear blast?

Raylan Givens: I'm going to need an ambulance, and a coroner.

reply

Nora and Fet survive. Everyone else dies either in the blast, or preceding the blast.

reply

But Nora died in last episode season 2, so the show is not fallowing the books, right? And who kills the Master or does he dies in explosion? Thx for your time.

Raylan Givens: I'm going to need an ambulance, and a coroner.

At this point in time, it's become clear to me (and, I assume, anyone who's read the books) that the show runners have entirely disregarded the books and are veering in a totally different direction. I assume that the reason for this is so they can end the show prematurely, mainly because the cost of shooting in an apocalyptic wasteland with elaborate human internment camps is too expensive for FX to bear.

The main give away is the fact that they've altered the nature of The Master's biology significantly. In the books, The Master is the primaeval representation of a rogue angel who cannibalized another angel for no reason, and in turn was chopped into 7 pieces by God as punishment. In addition, the only way to kill The Master is to nuke the landmass that he was discarded onto, which happens to be an island off the east coast.

In the show, however, they're building up The Master as simply a red worm (which was never mentioned in the books), that can easily be destroyed by conventional means. They clearly don't want to go the nuke route (because, again, it's pricey). For this reason, I imagine this will be the final season, and that the results will differ significantly from the books.

Just to add, I think it goes without saying that the storyline outlined by the books is far superior to the show. It's a disaster, honestly.

reply

Once again thx for your time, Maybe I will give a shot to the books. There are 3 books, right?

Raylan Givens: I'm going to need an ambulance, and a coroner.

reply

No problem. Yes, there's three of them, and they're definitely worth the read.

reply

That remains to be seen--it would be a very dark twist to the story. He has to find a new host body, is all we know for sure. Maybe Eichorst gets his wish at last. Maybe Palmer gets his immortality by proxy. Maybe something else.

reply

From the season trailer it looked like Eldritch Palmer is the next host.

reply

Why choose an old weak vessel like Palmer?

reply

Palmer has the money and resources the Master still needs. Seeing Palmer is becoming dissatisfied and willing to renege taking him over would be ideal. At least for a short while. Then talking over a younger host would be the next step. The poor "Nazi Butler" will always been a VampMaid and never the Master.

So did Kelly die? Looked like she was shot down. I hope so as she was becoming annoying.

reply

Zach's body's too young at this point, I'm guessing, to accommodate the Master yet.

reply

If that stupid ass kid becomes the next host Im out Im done with this show

This

(but i will probably wuss out and keep watching and just complain more)

reply

Douglas, i'm dreading it if they make Zach the new Master. the kid isn't tolerable with the amount of screen time that he has. it will be THE worst decision if they go this route.
