I had the same feeling about Life Is Beautiful w/ R Benigni.
Didn't want to see a comic performance masking a horrible tragedy.
Sounded like an ill thought out concept.

I didn’t either, but I tried to watch it because it was Oscar nominated and got a lot of buzz. I still wasn’t interested.
