Depp is being defended by the typical MRA misogynists that always come out of the woodwork when news like this hits. Amber is a victim and deserves a level of financial support that will allow her to live the life she has become accustomed to. It's 2016!
In he first place, we don't actually know what happened, or didn't happen.
In the second place, why on earth would she "deserve a level of financial support that will allow her to live the life she has become accustomed to" lol please. Precisely, it's friggin 2016! women don't have a right to be economically supported by a man, much less when they're no longer in a relationship!
I remember when America was still based on the concept of being innocent until proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt in a court of law by a jury of your peers...welcome to the updated Salem Witch Trials everyone.

True, we don't know what actually happened. What's been reported doesn't look good for Depp. He said/she said. The truth may never be known. I don't condone abuse of any kind. I also don't think a woman is entitled to $50K a month support to keep up the lifestyle to which she has become accustomed ---for a 15 month marriage, but hopefully she will be treated fairly.
I enjoyed the movie but it wasn't as good as I was expecting. I hope people don't boycott it because of JD. There were lots of other actors/actresses to be considered.
That's actually not true ! Yes Johnny Depp did Sth unexpected and terrible and I hope that justice will punish him! But this is not a Johnny Depp movie ! There plenty other actors (carter,Hathaway,Wasikowska, etc) and the rest of the cast and crew who worked very hard for this and deserve to be reckoned with their effort ! And now I don't consider myself a supporter of domestic violence because I saw the film! I actually consider myself a feminist and a human rights advocate
Ok first and foremost I DO NOT CONDONE ABUSE IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM... However Depp was already paid, anyone seeing this movie is giving Disney their money back for what they already paid to make it.
As far as Depp goes with his personal life and all the said allegations, I don't critique a performer for their personal life. I judge them by their acting skills. Everyone is entitled to feel how they feel but coming from a personal POV I don't think the woman should have the right to collect money from him outside of anything but compensation for medical treatment... this whole sorted affair is ridiculous in my opinion because abuse happens everyday and its not right and because its someone famous it needs to be flashed on the news like some form of presidential debate. The woman is out of the situation and she should feel free and appreciate that she got out of it at all. Nobody deserves to be abused physically mentally or emotionally.
Does JD deserve to lose his money.. NO.. that's my opinion. If he did abuse this woman I would say he deserves jail time with no chance of getting out to show him that abuse is wrong.
sorry for the rant but abusers piss me off
life ask death why do people love me and not you death says you are a beautiful lie I am a sad truth
Who picked the abuser and why, IF this is all true? Someone who wanted to be with a rich and famous man perhaps?
This has not all been figured out yet. Let's wait until it has to decide who is right and who is wrong. And it has nothing to do with the rest of the cast and crew of the film.
