Did anyone else feel that Time's voice was based slightly on Werner Herzog? That's all I could think about. You could just close your eyes and imagine Herzog narrating a film about Wonderland.

Not just slightly - Sacha Baron Cohen was imitating Herzog's voice, and quite well. I'm a big Werner Herzog fan so this registered with me right away.

All I could think was Officer Crabtree off 'Allo 'Allo (the one who mispronounces things), they even look similar.

Yes! Once I realized whom he imitated, I was impressed. It's not an easy accent to get right, and Cohen did.

Sadly, that was one of the best things about the movie.
